What is TTPM?
TTPM is the Consumer Tribunal. It helps consumers claim compensation from businesses.
When to file at TTPM:
- Faulty products
- Poor services
- Unreturned deposits
- Misleading advertisements
Claim limit:
- Maximum RM50,000 per claim
- Can file multiple claims
- No lawyer needed

Do I need a lawyer for TTPM?
No, lawyers are not allowed. You represent yourself. This keeps costs low and process simple.
How long does TTPM process take?
Typically 2-4 months from filing to hearing. Hearing decision may be given same day or within 60 days.
What if business doesn't attend hearing?
Tribunal can proceed in absentia and make order. Order is still enforceable.
Can I appeal TTPM decision?
TTPM decisions are final. Only appeal on point of law to High Court (rare).
